The trip start on Thursdays and end on Mondays.
When you arrives Zagora Airport and we meet you there and take you for an excursion into desert and to the fantastic high dunes, Chegaga. We will cross the desert landscape north and you will discover historical sites, beautiful mountain scenery and the green lush Draa valley dotted with palm trees and different cultures..

Incl: Transport, 4 Camp/Hotel, 4 breakfast, 4 dinner, camels, guide, sandboarding, local nomad folklore.

Day 1
Zagora - M'hamid Gizlane

We meet you at Zagora Airport by our driver and guide, and we start your Sahara Desert Experience.
After arrival in Zagora transfer to a beautiful location in the palmerie for lunch surrounding by lush date palms for your introduction to the south of Morocco.
After lunch you will continue the journey south to M’hamid Ghizlane, a village that marks the end of the road and the start of the desert. On the way to Mhamid we visit Tamegroute, 20kms south of Zagora, the pottery village where men & women create beautiful traditional ceramics by hand. Take a look around you may find that special treasure to take home with you.
On arrival in M’hamid Ghizlane you will meet by your new friends, the camels, and the trekking into magical Sahara - and the camp for the night - starts. You can enjoy a beautiful afternoon and evening exploring the surrounding sand dunes, the sunsets and the delicious food prepared for you before experiencing some local nomad Music under the star lite skies. The night you will spend in a traditional Berber bivouac.

Day 2
M'hamid Gizlane - Erg Chegaga
Breakfast in the Sahara desert camp of M’hamid Ghizlane Your 4x4 are waiting for your return to the village of M’hamid Ghizlane for lunch and a relaxing lunch beside a sublime swimming pool in a beautiful traditional setting.
After lunch and relax we will continue your journey deeper into the Sahara desert - off road to one of the most spectacular sights in the Kingdom of Morocco, the beautiful and peaceful dunes of Chegaga, 300 m high. On the way to Erg Chegaga you will go through desert passing by natural oasis and local nomadic families that reside in the desert. On arrival in Erg Chegaga you will be met by a stunning view of the 300m high dunes, and also the camp that will be your base for the night. Moroccan tea and snacks before you explore the dunes by feet, and also sandboarding. And maybe you also will try some cameltrekking.
When the evening comes you will be served dinner - and after there will be local nomad music under the stars
When this day goes to an end you sleep in comfortable beds in your nomadtent.

Day 3
Erg Chegaga-Foum Zguid-Tazenackte-Ait Ben Haddou-Ouarzazate

This morning there will be an early morning wake up for the sunrise over the top of the Chegaga dunes before heading back to camp for breakfast. After breakfast there is departure for Ouarzazate via Lake Iriqi. Heading off road through the desert - passing Lake Iriqi, a dried up lake and for as far as the eye can see if pure flats.
As you continue on the journey you will arrive in Foum Zguid for a nice Moroccan lunch and a short break before you continue on road toward Ouarzazate. You are passing the carpet city Tazenackte, an area which are famous for the tribes women weaving beautiful traditional Tazenackte carpets. We make a visit to a local weaver to see how they make these handwoven carpets in exactly the same way for generations.
Your next destination is Ait Ben Haddou, the amazing UNESCO World Heritage sights that has been the location for many Hollywood films over the years, such as The Gladiator. Enjoy a guided tour of the amazing village perched on the hill side and enjoy a glass of Moroccan mint tea after you tour.
In the afternoon we are heading for Ouarzazate, the film centre in Morocco, which boasts Africa’s largest film studios that produce many films per year. And when it is time - you will have a relaxing night in Ouarzazate.

Day 4
Ouarzazate-Agdz-Draa Valley-Zagora

After breakfast in your hotel in Ouarzazate, we continue for Zagora passing the Siroua Mountains with its amazing rock formations before arriving in the area of Agdz. From here we are passing the green Draa Valley, stretching about 95km from Agdz to Zagora. You will find oasis of hundreds of thousands of beautiful date palms along the way before arriving Zagora.
Here we take you to your hotel for the night set in the palmerie of Zagora beneath the palm trees for a magical last night in the Moroccan desert. Dinner and sleep at hotel in Zagora.

Day 5
Zagora and transfer to Zagora Airport

We meet you at your hotel for transfer to Zagora Airport in time for your departing flight.
This brings you to the end of your Moroccan Sahara Adventure. We hope you enjoyed your trip.
