Tiz'n Tiscka - Todra Gorge - Chegaga dunes

Zbartravel pick you up at arrival airport in Marrakeh and take you to the riad/hotel.
After a small break at the hotel we take you out to the Square, Jemaa el Fna, and here, in this bustling and colorful Square there it possibility for making a good bargain, just enjoy yourself with the snakes and the charmers, the monkeys, local, traditional music – and in the evening you can try the eating places outside. Or - take your dinner at one of the restaurants surrounding the square – and have a good view.

After breakfast this morning we take you on a 2h guided trip at the marked place – rest of the day is yours.

Today the trip into the country starts, and we are passing the spectacular mountain pass Tiz’n Tiscka, in High Atlas. We travel through areas with small mountain villages and Berber settlements, and you can enjoy a fantastic view. During the trip we go to the ancient Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou on the list of UNESCOs Heritage Sites. You take a walk through the Kasbah – to the top and can imagine how people lived in this area. The Kasbah is also used as film set in Morocco for the most historical films, as example The Gladiator. After this visit we continue through the green valley of Skoura and after the Dades Valley, or Rose Valley, to the cliffs of Dades Gorge. Dinner and housing at hotel in the area.

After the breakfast you can use the opportunity to take a small trip in the cliff landscape before the trip continues passing the beautiful Saghro Mountains. The trip goes via n’Kob and Tazzarine to the Draa Valley. This valley is the most beautiful in Morocco with a lush of palm and oasis, Berber villages- and settlements. And here you will experience the changes – also in peoples living.

In late afternoon we arrives Zagora - and you will sleep at hotel and have a nice dinner.

We continue south this morning – The Gateway to Sahara.. During the trip towards Sahara desert we stop at the old pottery in Tamegrout where they have production the traditional way. When we arrives the nomadvillage M’hamid there will be a lunch break before we continue into Sahara.

We arrives Erg Chegaga, the high dunes, 300 m and 40 km wide. Here there will be possibility for cameltrekking in the dunes, sandboarding and sunsettrip to the top of the dunes.

When the dark comes there will be local song and music - an old nomad tradition is gathering, sing and play - and having a chat after a long day in desert. Later in the evening you will have dinner the local way. And when the night is coming you can sleep inside your nomad tent in the bivouac– or outside under one thousand **** 

After the breakfast the trip goes piste and cross the desert east. We are passing the dry lake, Lake Iriqi, and when we arrives Foum Zguid, at the edge of Sahara, we go north to Ouarzazate. Here you can make a visit to Studio Cinema where a lot of Hollywood-films is being shot. Dinner and sleep at hotel.

This morning we start the trip returning to Marrakech. We are again passing the mountains before arrive Marrakech late lunch time. The rest of the day for you own disposal.
